Price Per Square Foot

#1 Frequently Asked Question

“What’s your price per square foot?”

Answer:

We don’t have a standard price per square foot.

We try to estimate the cost of labor and materials for each job.

Some of the factors which influence price:

Greater price per square foot

Lesser price per square foot

Halls, half baths, closets … chopped up areas

Big rooms with four corners

Refinishing a small amount of square footage in X trips

Refinishing a large amount of square footage in that same number of trips

Trying to flatten a rolling floor

Working on an already flat floor

Reddish, white/pastel, or dark wood-tone stain colors

Natural or light wood-tone stain colors

Supplying wood that has been graded for a “furniture-like” appearance such as clear oak, or prime maple

Supplying wood that has lots of “wood characteristics” such as odd colors, mineral streaks, knot holes

Supplying and installing  wide planks - just blind nailing may not be enough for plank flooring, it may need to be glued too

Supplying and installing strips in 2 ¼” to    3 ¼" widths

Refinishing a floor that requires repairs, or filling of cracks

Refinishing a floor in good condition

Sanding old floors that require very coarse sandpaper and more cuts

Sanding new wood with no finish on it

Working on weekends or holidays

Working Monday - Friday

Beautiful and Long-lasting Wood Floors Give You Value for Your Money
No other flooring comes close to the structural benefits and long-lasting value that hardwood flooring can give your home.
Wood flooring is your best choice when it comes to health concerns. Wood floors do not harbor allergens, dust or pollen like carpeting does.
The many species of wood available for flooring give you a multitude of choices for your project. Various stains, colors, hardness, and grain patterns allow for greater freedom in choosing a floor for your home. Modern wood floors are now easier to clean and maintain than ever before.

Though available in more affordable prices, wood flooring is still one of the pricier choices in the market, particularly if you prefer to get the best quality possible. But the money that goes into your flooring will be a good investment. Unlike other flooring options that will look worn out in the long run, maintained hardwood retains its beautiful appearance and value. Add value to your home and enjoy beautiful, durable, and long-lasting floors by making hardwood flooring a featured attraction in your home.
